God is using improv...we have proof!

Late last week, I was blessed to talk to a couple of the graduates from Salt and Light Coalition. I had invited them to record a testimonial about our ministry, about the success of the improv workshops we held at Salt and Light in which they participated.
Both gave permission to use their names and their words however we would like. I truly appreciate that permission, and I truly want to

be careful not to come across in anyway that would suggest I am capitalizing on their stories and journey. Their stories and journeys are theirs, so I will only share their stories that we recorded with pastors and ministries that are learning about what we do, and potentially with church services when we're asked to speak.
These two amazing women have seen the worst of humanity. They have survived. They are on their own two feet, and are helping serve others who are coming out of what they've been through.
Their journeys were impacted, for the better, based on what we do.

We're offering a respite from the pain and pressures of this world with laughter. It is such an amazing gift. We're helping them find their voice and confidence. We're teaching they have something of value that God has implanted in them.
Improv as ministry sounds new. Improv Missionaries sounds weird or unusual. But, Christina and Taylor are living proof, as are over 40 others who have successfully completed the Salt and Light Coalition program since 2018, that laughter, confidence, creativity, and, most importantly, the seeds of the Gospel, can have life-altering impact.
We don't share their feedback to "toot our own horns." Not at all. All glory and praise to God for finding every way He can to share His love with those who need to know His love. All praise to Him for healing the broken hearts and damaged spirits caused by man's heartlessness.
Their stories of healing are God's story. Bobbie and I are just blessed and honored and humbled to be used by God to see these stories happen. In November 2022, when I was laid off and we were forced into a new chapter of our lives, God showed us that these stories, this ministry, needed to be done more than on a part-time basis.
That is why we're missionaries. That is why we're moving to full-time. That is why we're counting on men, women, churches, and businesses to support us so the groups and people we serve will never have to give us a dime.
God's gift of laughter heals. It's His prescription. We're the traveling pharmacists.
